Air Rifles - The Perfect Silent Small Game Weapon

If you do not own an Air Rifle (Pellet Gun/Break Barrel Air Rifle) you need to go out and get one. There is not a better way to conduct small game hunting or rifle marksmanship without the neighbors knowing about it. I live in a rural area where I can fire any caliber weapon I desire, but am concerned about people knowing what weapons I own. I often hear some neighbors having fun shooting but I think it lets others know what you own. To avoid the noise issue I often shoot both .177 and .22 caliber pellet guns to meet my shooting needs. They are also a perfect system to refine skills for growing marksman. Today's air rifles are more powerful and better refined then what we used as kids. For an good inexpensive system I use the Ruger Air Hawk purchased at Wal-Mart for under $100. Also stock up on lead pellets in both .177 and .22 caliber pellets. The cost of pellets are increasing due to demand and raw material inflation. Also, who knows when laws will limit access to lead pellets due to environmental concerns. Other pellet guns I own are from the following manufacturers; Beeman and Gamo. Finally, in a survival situation air guns are a
must when individuals are trying to hunt and not draw attention to themselves.
